MEET TRICIA

Tricia Quintero has been a resident of Placentia for almost 25 years, drawn to the city knowing what a wonderful community this is for families. Tricia and her husband have raised their two kids here. 

As a dedicated PYLUSD parent for more than 16 years, Tricia has served on Parent Teacher Association (PTA)/Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) boards, most recently as the 2023-24 PTA President at El Dorado High School. She has supported local youth sports programs, holding various positions, and volunteered on high school booster clubs.

As an elementary school teacher in a neighboring district, Tricia is also a local educator.  She earned her bachelor’s degree in child development from Cal State Fullerton and her master’s degree in teaching and learning from National University. Her teaching career spans more than two decades.

Tricia is running for PYLUSD Board of Education to reflect the values of local families, prioritizing:

• Student achievement, leveraging her background and experience in child development

• School community engagement, collaborating with educators and parents

• Fiscal responsibility and transparent communication, rebuilding trust with the school board

• Informed decision-making based on student and staff needs.

Tricia will be an advocate for all children and a unifying voice in our community, treating everyone with dignity and respect.
